About me
Adam Mogilevsky is the School Climate Team Specialist on the Tiered SEL Teaming Structures Team in the Office of Social and Emotional Learning (OSEL) at Chicago Public Schools. With over ten years of experience as an educator, instructional coach, content developer, and administrator, Adam has a proven track record of excellence in teaching and administration in rural South and Chicago. He credits Teach For America for instilling the skills that have driven his educational success. As a critical educator, Adam focuses on creating equitable learning environments through rigorous academics, psychosocial and emotional learning, culturally relevant pedagogy, and post-secondary success opportunities. The schools he has taught at or supported have seen significant growth in all areas, leading to transformative and liberatory environments for vulnerable students and families. Before joining OSEL, Adam was an educator and administrator at Ryan Banks Academy, Chicago's first SEL-focused boarding school, where he helped underperforming students achieve success. He is passionate about the transformative power of education and believes in engaging the whole child and their community. Adam holds an M.Ed. in the Science of Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University and an MSW with a healthcare concentration from Aurora University. He is currently a Doctoral Degree Candidate at National Louis University, researching how effective tier-1 practices contribute to transformative changes in school culture and climate.
